Making Springdale a Great Place to Live and Work!
Since the Association's founding in 1991, we have worked hard to improve Springdale. Here are just a few of our accomplishments:
- Successfully created a Springdale Village Commericial District with Stamford Planners
- Coordinated Train Station renovation with State Representatives and Department of Transportation
- Planted hundreds of trees and flowers on Hope Street
- Annual Spring Cleanup
- Tree-Lighting Ceremony every December
- Initiated and coordinated a Mural Project on Mulberry Street through a grant
- Installed Town Clock and garden at train station
- Succesfully campaigned for renovation/expansion of Weed Memorial Hollander Branch Library
- Graffiti removal and prevention program
- Creating and distributing a Springdale Business Directory
- Participation in Fire Safety Day with Springdale Fire Department
- Worked with U.S. Postal Service on design of the Camp Avenue Post Office
- Community Bulletin Board at the Springdale Shopping Center
- Hosting Mayor's Night Out at the Weed Branch Library
